The first EngineEars Dolby Atmos Certification Course; presented by Assistant Professor of Practice, from USC’s Thornton School of Music; Brian Malouf. Take a peek into the knowledge-filled weekend that empowered a handful of students to take the industry’s newest audio format, Dolby Atmos, by the reigns. Thanks to the efforts made by @dolbylabs & @engineears we were able to select 15 of our top-performing users from the @engineears platform that are based in Los Angeles and provided them with a FREE 50-hour curriculum to help train and enable these engineers to mix in Dolby Atmos for music, with the added opportunity to come in to NO I.D’s studio and apply their learning in Real-Time!

What is Dolby Atmos?

Dolby Atmos is a groundbreaking audio technology that has revolutionized the way we experience sound. Unlike traditional stereo, which limits sound to two dimensions, Dolby Atmos introduces the element of height, creating a three-dimensional soundscape. This immersive technology allows audio engineers to place and move sounds precisely in a 3D space, enveloping the listener in a more realistic and dynamic auditory experience. With Dolby Atmos, every note, voice, and sound effect can be heard with unparalleled clarity and depth, transforming ordinary listening into an extraordinary adventure in sound. At Engineears, we’re excited about the possibilities Dolby Atmos brings to music production, offering artists a cutting-edge tool to elevate their creative expression.
